  1. “Over the last year or so, I’ve come to appreciate what My Chem’s done for me. I was never about to slip into a pill-induced coma when Venom came on my iPod… The band didn’t save my life. But in a strange way, it did kickstart it.”
this bit is amazing, My Chemical Romance didn’t save my life either, but it did seriously improve it, also, the first time I ever heard mcr was quite random, I heard a couple of second clip on some other random youtube video, the clip was the bit from teenagers that goes ” they’re gonna rip off your heads”, that’s literally all it was, but I thought the song sounded so awesome that I spent about an hour trying to find out what the song was and who it was by.
I’m supposed to be doing homework so I should probably shut up now.

    1. That line is becoming my piece de resistence, I swear…

Consider it an hour well-spent 🙂

I love you so much for this bit of the blog. Seriously. You have no idea. Explaining would take a very long time and probably end up with me offending other people, but you probably understand. I remember you’ve read my own account of the impact of MCR on my life, not too long ago. So… I’m just going to say – Thank You for writing this bit.

  3. […] discussed every aspect of My Chem. The band, the music, the visual, the live shows, the origins, how I started listening, the fans, the fans’ creativity, what people really mean when they say “MCR saved my […]

  4. By the way, I did ask Bel to say happy birthday to you from me, but I don’t think she did so “late happy Birthdaaaaay to yooooooouuuuu etc.”
Consider this your virtual Birthday card:)

    1. Ah, thank you! Comments are like birthday cards and subscriptions are presents… So you guys have made it a pretty awesome stash this year 🙂

      1. You are welcome 😀

  5. You know I’m a slow reader…you have no idea how long this took me to read. It was worth it though.

    1. Aha, thank you. I take it to mean it wasn’t all senseless rambling?!

  6. Now that was even deeper than the last one. Are you trying to reduce us all to a crying wreck of old ladyies, going “It’s so deep, it’s so heartwarming.” Well, its not gonna work. Although, the sklines does kinda send one of those shivers down my spine, but it went when I’m Not Okay started.

where you said : “I get along best with people who are MCR fans.” I thought, How bloody rude. She gets along with us better than anyone else (I like to think) until i also realied 1. You have no choice and 2. We are MCR fans. So my point was stolen from me, by my own mind.

On a more serious note, it WAS a very good blog, and i share your views. And, strangely enough, i remember my first time hearing MCR. I must have been about 6, because thats when it came out, and was being played on the TV loads. I vividly remember watching it with Lauren, and getting the piano beginning stuck in my head. I am also very sure that mum and dad had a cd with it on, because when i heard the black parade from you, my first though about track 5 was, isn’t this one of mum and dads songs, and knowing all of the words. I asked them about it, to be told they had never heard it. So its a bit of a mystery to why i knew it so well.

Anyway, im gonna shut up and do some work, GCSE’s are terribly boring, and i’m sick of em already, and all this emotion is going to my head. But at least im free from music and french.

    x 🙂

    1. You probably heard me play the compliation I talked about; I know Lauren heard it and sang along to Fall Out Boy and Panic! with me..?

Aw, thank you. Today’ll be lighter, promise.

      1. Trilbys are fucking awesome.

      2. Yes. Yes they are.
